The glad tidings of being the Strangers(When the norm will be other than The Sunnah and people Will regard true Deen to be Strange) in the times nearing Qiyama refers to one of these 2 categories of people.
*In today's time when people post pictures of Salah which has been corrupted and altered contrary to the clear directive of the Sunnah and majority of the comments say "SubhanAllah beautiful", the strangers are the ones who would seem strange and either:
1.Himself not take part in this
2.Speak out against it
*When people would regard it as normal to have mixed extravagant weddings the Stranger given glad tidings would:
1.have a simple wedding with no customs and propper seperation of men and Women
2.Would speak out against such practices.
*When people would say Masha Allah and regard progressive, working females as a thing of praise the Stranger would:
1.Take on the role of a housewife
2.Inform those around regarding gender roles in Islam.
In all these situations the Stranger would feel a sense of loneliness and would face criticism, this is due to the fact that this is part and parcel of being a Stranger and holding on to true Islam.
The reality of the matter is, the norm will always be a diluted version of Islam, as predicted by Nabi Sallalaahu alaihi Wasallam.
Our duty, however, is to convey the message and practice the same for our own benefit.
Narrated Abdullaah ibn Mas'ood: “Indeed, Islam began as something strange, and it will return to being strange just as it began, so glad tidings of paradise be for the strangers.”
