Dear Qalamul Haq Members
The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development invites the public to comment on the proposed amendments to PEPUDA, the Promotion of Equality and the Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act.
The public and interested stakeholders are invited to comment in this regard by no later than Wednesday, 30 June 2021.
Several organisations have expressed multiple concerns about the impact the PEPUDA Amendment Bill will have on people of faith and conservative views, if passed in its current form (view details and videos at the participation link).
Qalamul Haq, whether for or against the amendments, no matter what your belief, we encourage you to have a say and make your voice count at the following link;
PLEASE NOTE; This is NOT a petition – We encourage you to sign all petitions, however, parliament ignores signatures and counts a petition as ONE submission.
DearSA's platform ensures each public comment is delivered as an individual submission in a legally accepted format. Furthermore, we record all participation to form the solid foundation required for a successful court challenge. This method holds significant impact and influence on policy BEFORE implementation.
Participants’ personal details are not shared.
Your voice most certainly counts.
Qalamul Haq, if you have already participated, please forward this email to your contacts – encourage them to have a say.
